I’ve been “borrowing” my boyfriend’s Lumix GF1 quite frequently these days. It all started with me wanting a quick shot of my latest culinary explorings, but now it seems like I’m finding any old excuse just to use the thing. It’s just another incredible bonus to living with a photographer. In other news, Spring is in the air! Get outside and breath it in.
No I take all of my film to a photo lab and have them process it for me. Then I scan the negatives (or have my boyfriend do it). It’s a lot of money not to mention the space required to develop film is in convenient, especially color. I could see it being necessary if you were doing a special project, but otherwise save yourself a lot of hassle and send it in.
What Would Bowie Do?

Did I ever mention my boyfriend is an amazing photographer? Well he is. Here’s some pictures he took from our trip to Satellite Beach last weekend. He posts up at Diary. On another note I would like to say that I have finally gotten over my “fear/awkwardness” of standing in front of the camera (okay I’m still awkward but at least I can hide it a little better). Lesson learned: when two photo takers live together they don’t have much of a choice but to play model for the other - so suck it up and smile (or look off into the distance and pout).

I’ve been really inspired by Sonia Delaunay lately. I love the geometric patterns and bright bold colors. I really want to do a shoot inspired by her love of fashion and art sometime.
Day Off
It’s my day off and to celebrate this momentous occasion I have made strawberry shortcakes! Seriously, this is one of my favorite springtime/summertime desserts EVER! It’s light and sweet and perfect with a cup of tea. Happy Friday everyone!
